"Three Counties provided exactly what this young person needed: calm, consistency, and strong communication. The placement has been stable and outcomes are improving."
Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and valued.
Three Counties Children's Services was founded on a simple belief: every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and valued.
We provide small, nurturing residential homes in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire where children and young people can rebuild trust, experience stability, and begin to shape a future that feels hopeful again.
Our team is made up of calm, patient, and resilient adults who understand the impact of trauma and the importance of relationships. We don't expect children to fit into a service - we shape our service around the individual child.
Curiosity, Compassion, and Consistency
Children arrive with their own stories, strengths, and struggles. We respond with curiosity, compassion, and consistency. Our practice is guided by trauma-informed principles.
Safety First
Emotional, physical, and relational safety underpins everything we do. A child cannot learn or grow without first feeling safe.
Predictability Over Pressure
Routines that build trust rather than control. Consistency and predictability help children feel secure in their world.
Connection Before Correction
Behaviour is communication, and we listen. We seek to understand the message behind the behaviour before we respond.
Choice and Voice
Young people have genuine influence in their daily lives. We listen, include, and act on what they tell us matters to them.
Healing in Relationships
Positive, stable adults walking alongside each child. Healing happens in the context of safe, consistent relationships.
We work closely with therapeutic partners, social workers, families, and education providers to ensure each child's needs are understood and supported in a joined-up way.
Warm Spaces. Real Belonging.
Each of our homes is intentionally small and homely - not clinical, not institutional. We create warm spaces where children can relax, laugh, belong, and simply be themselves.
Personalised bedrooms reflecting each child's individuality
Communal areas for shared meals, movie nights and conversation
Calm, consistent environments that feel like home - not a service

Wraparound Support for Every Child
Individualised Care Plans
Every child has a personal plan shaped around their experiences, strengths, hopes, and therapeutic needs. Goals are realistic, flexible, and built in partnership with the young person.
Therapeutic Support
Our staff are trained in trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches, and relationship-based care. External therapeutic professionals work alongside us to support emotional wellbeing.
Education & Learning
We advocate strongly for meaningful, stable education - whether in mainstream school, specialist provision, or personalised learning pathways. We celebrate progress in all its forms, not just academics.
Life Skills & Independence
From cooking and budgeting to social skills and self-care, we help young people grow in confidence and prepare for adulthood at a pace that feels right for them.
Family & Community Connections
Where safe and appropriate, we help children maintain or rebuild important relationships. Community involvement is encouraged so young people feel included, not isolated.
More than professionals - safe adults who care.
Our staff are more than professionals - they are safe adults who show patience, empathy, and genuine care. Everyone receives ongoing training in trauma, attachment, neurodiversity, safeguarding, and de-escalation.
But more importantly, our team brings warmth, humour, and humanity to the work.
"We believe healing begins when a young person realises they don't have to face things alone."Join Our Team
What We Promise Every Child
Seeing the child, not the label.
Responding to distress with understanding, not judgement.
Encouraging strengths rather than focusing on mistakes.
Providing stability, even when life feels chaotic.
Offering opportunities, choices, and second chances.
Staying consistent - especially when things are difficult.
We want every young person who comes through our doors to leave knowing they are capable, worthy, and cared for.
