About The Role
You will take on greater responsibility within the home, helping to lead shifts, support colleagues, and maintain clear, safe practice for children and young people.
This role suits someone with residential care experience who can balance compassion with leadership, and who is ready to help shape a stable and child-centred environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading shifts and helping maintain consistent practice across the team.
- Supporting children through routines, incidents, reviews, and day-to-day care.
- Contributing to safeguarding, recording, and placement planning.
- Coaching newer colleagues and helping managers keep standards high.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in residential childcare or a closely related setting.
- Confidence in guiding others and making sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and good written communication.
- A calm, thoughtful approach that keeps relationships at the centre of the work.
